Degrafa component not showing up?

There seems to be some problem when building a Degrafa component in MXML. It seems that using "Surface" as the outer container results in an invisible component. The workaround is simple: put a Canvas around it but don't ask me why :)

Would you mind posting your source code so we can see what you are experiencing and determine if this is expected behavior, a bug, or just us not properly explaining how to use Surface/Group components.

No problem - I'll be more than happy to come up with a little example application. I might be doing something wrong and in that case I look forward to your explanation!

Any news on this topic? I encountered the same difficulty as you. Why can't the Surface tag be used as an outer container for a MXML component?
