Sorry - I'm addicted. But I shouldn't be ashamed: I'm addicted to Adobe Flex - the solution that we should have had 10 years ago. If that would have been the case the internet would look completely different today. But don't worry: in 10 years from now it WILL look completely different :)

Would you mind posting your source code so we can see what you are experiencing and determine if this is expected behavior, a bug, or just us not properly explaining how to use Surface/Group components.

No problem - I'll be more than happy to come up with a little example application. I might be doing something wrong and in that case I look forward to your explanation!
Any news on this topic? I encountered the same difficulty as you. Why can't the Surface tag be used as an outer container for a MXML component?
